It’s the much awaited first week in December and the festive season around the school and the class has got all our children super-duper excited. We have put our Christmas tree up and the classroom has been decorated. We have planned Christmas activities for the coming weeks and are looking forward to them especially the next week, as we are going to the cinemas and meeting all of you for the coffee and carols morning. The most exciting bit was when Santa visited us and gave us all a little treat. We had a special advent assembly in the school hall. The whole school gathered for the very first time to witness the lights coming on the Christmas tree. Mrs. Stokle lit the first advent candle and we put the children helped put the crib together

We could not do much work this week due to lack of time however we still managed to do writing practice, reading, math’s and Humanities. Some of our children have been really great at writing the letters of the alphabet and some have even learnt how to write their second names. In Maths most of our children are getting more and more confident working on number bonds right up to 20.

They have been enjoying the new PE session and are very enthusiastic to take part in every activity doing push ups. Squats, used bicep curls and step ups. We did not have swimming but an extra session of Rebound this week and a great session of football. Our Lillie was the Half Term Achiever and she has done some amazing work all through this term. We are so proud of her!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!
