This week we have been preparing for the coffee and carol morning. All our children are working hard trying to learn the signs and the songs for the special morning. We spend a day at the Yurt and the music shack making invitation cards to take home. We have also had an amazing session in swimming with many children trying their best to learn new tricks with Tracy. We missed our Kangaroo club but had an amazing time playing football with Graham.
Other than the exciting things above we did some hard work doing Maths, English and Science. Some did number bonds and some used challenge cards to do inverse operations. In science we all took part in a science experiment to learn the technique of separating the insoluble substances using a filter paper. In English we read new poems and tried to discuss why some of us liked them and why some of us did not really enjoy them. It was great listening to some of the feelings the children discussed in their groups.
We had an exciting session on physical training in our PE lesson. We did push ups. Squats, used bicep curls and did some step ups. All were excited to participate and enjoyed all the exercises.
Friday was a very exciting day for our Sophia. She celebrated her 11th birthday. We played games, danced along and ate some cake..
Hope you had a lovely weekend.
