As always, we’ve had a fantastic week full of playing, interaction and exploration here in Dave’s class! We welcomed back some of our friends who had been off with illness with lots of big smiles and were happy to get back to playing together as one big, happy class.

Our jungle theme continued this week with an exciting morning of adventure in our sensory story, with everyone particularly enjoying seeing the grown-ups dressed up as jungle creatures! We banged the drums with an ostrich, built houses with a leopard and played in the leaves with a lion; we even got to experience a thunderstorm! The class thoroughly enjoyed their sensory morning, and we got some gorgeous photos which have been shared on our class dojo and will be getting sent home before half term.

Another highlight of our week was definitely all of the music we’ve made, both in class and in a session with our friend Tom, a music therapist. We loved exploring lots of different instruments to figure out what different sounds they could produce, and we had lots of happy interaction when Tom got his guitar out and sang a special song with all of our names included.

Some of our class have also paid visits to the hydrotherapy pool, enjoyed sessions in rebound and soft play, and we all have spent as much time as possible playing outside in the leaves!

All in all, we’ve had another jam-packed week of fun here in Dave’s class and we’re looking forward to doing it all again next week before half-term rolls around!

Have a lovely weekend, Dave & team 🙂
